Croeso i Blwyddyn 3 & 4 

Welcome to Year 3 & 4 

 My name is Mrs Walton and I am the class teacher for years 3 & 4.

 In year 3 and 4 we will encourage the children to work with greater independence, building on the skills taught during previous years. My aim is to provide varied learning experiences for all pupils based around our topics that will change termly.

 Autumn Term 

 Our main topic for Autumn term will be ‘The Tudors’. We will be learning about the rulers, events and how people lived during this time. Literacy, numeracy and ICT will be a key focus in all lessons.  

Spring Term 

The focus of our work this term will be based around the topic ‘Rainforests’. Children will be able to discuss how they would like to proceed with this topic during the term.  

 Summer Term 

 Always a very busy term with lots to look forward to. Our summer topic is ‘Awesome Australia’. We will compare this country to Wales and as a class we will decide what else we would like to learn throughout the topic.  

 This term we will also spend time to consolidate all we have learnt throughout the year.  

 Homework 

 Homework in Year 3 & 4 is mainly Activelearn maths online and individual reading.
