Dysgu Cymraeg/Learning Welsh

Although we are an English medium school the Welsh language is an integral part of the school.

We are very fortunate and have the support of the 'Athrawon Bro' (Welsh peripatetic teachers) who visit our school every 2 weeks to support the teaching of Welsh across the school.

Each class has set Welsh sessions each week where Welsh is taught through a Powys scheme of work. In addition, pupils participate in some bilingual lessons, take part in Welsh reading activities and are encouraged to use the Welsh language throughout the school day inside and outside of the classroom.
